Electronic Golf Scorecard

Image
Even though you might be best buddies for many decades already, human relationships can be pretty fragile at times – and a game of golf might end up in fistcuffs when some cheating has been discovered, or in accounting circles, ‘creative adjustments’ in the scorecard. What better way to prevent a slip of the pencil than with modern technology? I guess this is where the £14.99 PGA Tour Electronic Golf Scorecard would definitely come in handy. No longer do you need to remember to sharpen those pencils and remember to bring enough paper the next time you’re going to spend some time on the greens, all you need is the PGA Tour Electronic Golf Scorecard and you’re good to go. Just make sure there is enough juice remaining to keep it powered, where said device is able to score up to 4 players simultaneously. Image
If you are a huge fan of golfing, and practice your swings religiously, surely you are always on the lookout for something better to help reduce your overall score. It can be said that the game of golf does subscribe to the adage “practice makes perfect” in some way, but not 100%. After all, once you have conditioned your muscles to swing in a certain way, correcting or improving that swing could prove harder than expected. Well, good thing there are tools out there which might help you improve your swing to a reasonable level. We are looking at the £49.99 SensoGlove, where it was specially constructed from ground up to help you improve your game. After all, the right grip goes a long way in the make up of a perfect swing, and a slight miscalculation or overexertion of strength might send the ball flying far from where you intended. Putt Guide ought to let you improve your game

Image
Golfers can be quite sensitive when it comes to their game, and any comments or criticism might not be welcome at all. Of course, we all know that we learn best if we are willing to humble ourselves and listen to the opinions of others when they matter. In this case, it would be listening to the Putt Guide. While it isn’t exactly the most classical form of gadgets where improving your golf game is concerned, we are quite sure that anything to do with your swing and lowering your score is always more than welcome. The new Putt Guide will retail for $49.99 a pop, where it will be accompanied by a free Denis Pugh tuition DVD (now that would mean saving another $15.99 instead of purchasing it off the shelf), making it one of four new training aids from the very same people who introduced the acclaimed T2hole golf improvement system to the world. There are three other devices that can also help you amaze your friends the next time you take off to the greens – we are talking ...

SkyKap – It’s like a caddie in your hat

Image
Let’s face it, to some of us golf is more than just a game. Okay, to some of us, it’s a lot more. Some of us are completely addicted to it. In fact, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sat around on a Sunday and wondered just how long it was going to take that golf loving husband of mine to come home. Geez. Maybe the SkyKap Advisor, is just the thing to get him home faster. A hands free, voice activated microcomputer GPS system contained in the brim of a regular golf hat. With some pretty amazing technology, The Advisor provides personal audio responses activated by the golfer’s commands. The Advisor gives the distance to greens, bunkers, water, boundaries and a whole lot more. First, your completely devoted and unselfish spouse (who just happens to play golf every single weekend) searches and downloads course information by hooking their hat to the PC using the supplied USB cable. Incidentally, if your beloved’s course is not mapped, the hat will actually record green...

Kangarila – A New Twist on Golf

Image
Kangarila is new way of playing golf which I’m sure will add an extra level of frustration (as if golf isn’t frustrating enough) in a fun kind of way. Described as “Kangarila let the balls decide” , each ball is effectively a spherical dice dictating which club to use on your next shot (with a few bonus rules thrown in). Launched early this month at the London Golf Show, there are various organised competitions you can enter (details on the Kangarila site) or simply buy the balls, read the rules and challenge your friends. Along with the fun element of playing, the game can also improve a golfers game by forcing them to use unconventional clubs for different shots. Check out Kangarila for merchandise, events and the rule book. [Hat tip to Dave for letting us know]

Weed Whacking Golf Driver for the noncommittal golfer

Image
Let’s face it, not all golfers are the serious types. Some of them are just out for a day of goofing around with good friends. Now this Weed Whacking Golf Driver might be appalling to slip into a serious game of golf (if you could even succeed at it), but for the relaxed game your buddies might even start requesting to borrow it. After all, a little beer and a round of golf calls for a couple of short cuts throughout the game. To work this handy little club you just flip a button and the plastic bottom flips open. It has a single string trimmer that probably won’t work to take out any serious weeds. If the grass is just getting a little tall it’ll work just fine for that though. There are two thumb buttons built into the handle to activate the trimmer. In order to keep the club powered it’ll need 6 AA batteries. You can purchase it for $39.95 through Hammacher Schlemmer.
