MXB Shocker, a two-wheeled motorized skateboard

It seems like skateboarders are always finding a way to make their sport more extreme. Things like the Flowlab, which has fourteen wheels for easier turns.

Then there are motorized examples like the Vertrax skateboard with a tank tread and the Flyrad, which is a motorized unicycle combined with rollerblades.

Like the two aforementioned examples, the MXB Shocker that you see in the photo is electric powered. It is more of a dirtbike than it is a skateboard, as it has two wheels with some treads that can go over a lot of great terrain besides concrete and asphalt. You can watch a video of it after the jump.

The MXB Shocker has a 1,500-watt, 48-volt brushless electric-powered motor which is capable of 5 pounds per foot of torque at around 43 amps. This motor can recharge in two hours, and can propel the board at over 35 miles per hour.

Judging from the photo, it looks like it only has front-wheel drive. Or is it rear-drive drive? You will note the wired controls that looks like the handlebar of a motorcycle, presumably to control speed and brakes.

Granted, this is a high price to pay for this amount of fun, as the MXB Shocker motocross board costs about $2999.
