CXC 700 ear-canal phones



Sennheiser intends to offer big performance in a small package with their CXC 700 ear-canal phones that will be part of their already successful travel range, where this pair of earphones will sport active noise cancellation. Since it is a completely new feature, you will find that the innovative NoiseGard digital system deliver a choice of three noise-cancelling profiles for travelers.

All three choices have been specially optimized for the wide range of surrounding noise that one encounters when traveling, regardless if it is a rickety old bus, the incessant hum of a jet engine, or even the loud chatter of a bustling morning market while you walk around, mingling with the locals and doing your utmost best to blend in – all while enjoying your favorite artist performing on your iPod.

Basically, the new CXC 700 is “smart” enough to adapt to its surrounding environment with but a single push of its button. We shall now take a closer look at the three noise-cancelling profiles that can be chosen to adapt NoiseGard to one’s immediate surroundings. Mode 1 is capable of absorbing low-frequency noise in particular (100 to 400 Hertz), so you can be sure engine noise from trains, buses or small passenger planes will trouble you no longer if it works as claimed.

Mode 2, on the other hand, will focus on cancelling noise in the medium frequency range (400 to 3,000 Hertz) that is derived from air-conditioning systems in large passenger aircraft or office buildings. As for Mode 3, this boasts a pretty wide frequency range (100 to 3,000 Hertz), where it will merge the noise-cancelling effect in the medium and low-frequency ranges. To put it in a nutshell, background noise with different noise components, including those that occurs at airports, railway stations or underground stations, can be suppressed to a certain extent.

Since the CXC 700 is extremely compact in size, it ought to be able to fit into just about any piece of luggage you tote around without causing you additional burden. Change your bike’s gears, with your mind

Lately, I have been teaching my son to ride a bicycle, and it reminds me of my days of awkward bike riding. I remember that I had a hard time with changing the gears, but what if I could do it with my mind? Parlee Cycles is apparently working on a concept bicycle made of carbon fiber that does just that. It is part of Toyota Prius Projects, and it uses a helmet equipped with neurotransmitters to read a wearer’s brainwaves. A wireless transmitter attached to the bike’s seat post gets the signal, and changes the gear. As you might of guessed, this is still a concept. In fact, the developer hasn’t quite got the brain control working and still using a smartphone for the controls. I have heard of neuro-controls being used before, but I am guessing the technology isn’t quite as good as Bluetooth. iMM514 ArtStation Pro

I’ve seen some products from iLuv before, and the iMM514 ArtStation Pro is good for turning an iPad into a home theater. As you can see, the iPad is mounted in an articulated swiveling arm so you can position it at whatever angle you want, in landscape or portrait mode. In case you are wondering why there is such a big base, it is because it has a huge stereo speaker. In other words, this base has bass. There is also a wireless remote for volume and skipping tracks, and it looks like there are some controls on the base for when you lose the remote. As I mentioned before, iLuv has put out a lot of Apple accessories, and I will have to admit that this is one of the most unusual that I have seen. In fact, I am not even sure what kind of aesthetic that this is. The arm thing reminds me of Technic Lego pieces. I suppose the case is like a big Lego brick without and studs on it. Nice.
