Harman rolls out new AKG GHS-1 portable gaming headset


Harman knows that you deserve nothing but the very best when it comes to your personal gaming experience, and they have decided to do something about the situation. The big question is this – just what are they going to deliver this time around? Well, the spanking new AKG GHS-1 portable gaming headset does seem to be a pretty good candidate to grace your aural channels, where grenade explosions and rumbling jet engines would probably seem as if they are in your very own room whenever you wear this.

You can be sure of its quality since it has already picked up the coveted Red Dot award for outstanding product design, so expect folks who see you wear one “Ooh” and “Aah” over it, as the new GHS-1 headset elevates PC gaming to a whole new level of realism, excitement, portability and comfort.

Coming in a lightweight form factor, the headset will come with a boom microphone which filters out background noise. Thanks to passive noise reduction, it effectively seals out the majority of ambient sounds, delivering an undisturbed overall listening and gaming experience. The headset itself will also come with a cardioid (directional) boom microphone as mentioned earlier, where going through all the background noises and filtering them, it is capable of delivering a clear voice signal for every user.

The in-line microphone will is also intelligently designed, letting you adjust the volume in a convenient manner over on the right side of the cable, where it will reduce the need for players to interact with the game console or other source through the entire course of the game. As usual, most folks will be interested to know how much they have to pay for this puppy – we’re looking at $79.95 a pop, where the AKG GHS-1 portable headset will come in a trio of color combinations – black and orange, white and green and camouflage and blue.

Change your bike’s gears, with your mind

Lately, I have been teaching my son to ride a bicycle, and it reminds me of my days of awkward bike riding. I remember that I had a hard time with changing the gears, but what if I could do it with my mind? Parlee Cycles is apparently working on a concept bicycle made of carbon fiber that does just that. It is part of Toyota Prius Projects, and it uses a helmet equipped with neurotransmitters to read a wearer’s brainwaves. A wireless transmitter attached to the bike’s seat post gets the signal, and changes the gear. As you might of guessed, this is still a concept. In fact, the developer hasn’t quite got the brain control working and still using a smartphone for the controls. I have heard of neuro-controls being used before, but I am guessing the technology isn’t quite as good as Bluetooth. iMM514 ArtStation Pro

I’ve seen some products from iLuv before, and the iMM514 ArtStation Pro is good for turning an iPad into a home theater. As you can see, the iPad is mounted in an articulated swiveling arm so you can position it at whatever angle you want, in landscape or portrait mode. In case you are wondering why there is such a big base, it is because it has a huge stereo speaker. In other words, this base has bass. There is also a wireless remote for volume and skipping tracks, and it looks like there are some controls on the base for when you lose the remote. As I mentioned before, iLuv has put out a lot of Apple accessories, and I will have to admit that this is one of the most unusual that I have seen. In fact, I am not even sure what kind of aesthetic that this is. The arm thing reminds me of Technic Lego pieces. I suppose the case is like a big Lego brick without and studs on it. Nice.
